Bay Area favorite, The LyraTones (www.lyratones.com) played to a packed Central Park Pavilion for the July 28 installment of Concerts in the Park. Playing a mixture of Big Band-era tunes, combining both instrumental and lyric songs, the 17-piece orchestra was the perfect backdrop for a summer afternoon. The LyraTones setlist included classics like the Harry Connick, Jr. version of “It Had to be You,” the Milton DeLugg and Willie Stein penned “Orange Colored Sky,” Bob Merrill’s song “Mambo Italiano,” in their hour and a half set that had guests showcasing their dancing skills. On Sunday, August 4, Big Mike & The HartBeats play Santa Clara’s Concerts in the Park.
