The NFL kept its promise to restore the fields in Santa Clara Youth Soccer Park following Super Bowl 50. The fields to are looking better than ever, and the restoration work included repairing the broken dugouts. “The NFL has kept their word to repair the facility, and we appreciate the teamwork effort between SCYSL, Santa Clara Parks & Recreation and the 49ers/NFL,” the Santa Clara Youth Soccer League posted on its Facebook page.
The NFL’s use of the fields for the Super Bowl 50 media center, promised in the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee’s proposal to the NFL, was the subject of a SCYSL lawsuit last December, claiming that players were being denied due process and the fields would be irretrievably destroyed.
