Santa Clara Police Report: March 1 – 7

The Police Blotter highlights a partial list of incidents in the city and is distributed on a weekly basis. The Blotter provides the date, time, approximate location, a narrative summary of the incident, case number and the most serious arrest charge.

An officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Nobili Avenue for a welfare check.

The officer contacted a male subject. The subject was experiencing a medical emergency and required attention. The Santa Clara Fire Department was dispatched and transported the subject to a local hospital.

Smoking Ordinance

Location: 3400 Block of El Camino Real

An officer witnessed a female subject smoking a cigarette on the 3400 block of El Camino Real. The subject was doing so within 30 feet of the front door to the business. She was contacted and issued an administrative citation without incident.

Sex Registrant

Location: 700 Block of Lawrence Expressway

A male subject was contacted by police at Kaiser Hospital after refusing to leave the property.

A Records check revealed the subject is a transient sex registrant. The subject was out of registration compliance; for a transient sex registrant is required every 30 days. The arrestee was taken into custody and transported to Santa Clara County Main Jail.

Commercial Burglary

Location: 3300 Block of El Camino Real

Public Safety Dispatchers deployed officers on the report of commercial burglary on the 3300 block of El Camino Real.

Through investigation, it was discovered a business was broken into overnight and several items were damaged and stolen. The total loss is estimated at $2,650.

The subject is unknown and remains at large.

Warrant Arrest

Location: Lafayette Street and Montague Expressway

An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Lafayette Street at Montague Expressway for California Vehicle Code violations.

The officer contacted the male driver. A Records check revealed the subject had a misdemeanor warrant and a suspended driver’s license. The subject was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Drug Possession

Location: De La Cruz Boulevard and W Trimble Road

An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on De La Cruz Blvd at W. Trimble Road.

The officer contacted the female driver. A Records check revealed she had a warrant and was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The subject was arrested.
