About Santa Clara’s Cold Cases

The Santa Clara Police Department’s Investigations Division is committed to investigating all crimes, including Cold Cases. The Santa Clara Police Department hopes that re-publicizing Cold Cases gives a voice to those who can no longer speak for themselves, with an ultimate goal of giving answers and a sense of closure to their loved ones.

A Cold Case is a crime, accident or missing person case that has gone unsolved. While each case is unique, most of these cases have gone unsolved for years and there are no active leads for investigators to pursue. If, however, new information emerges, the Santa Clara Police will thoroughly re-examine the case with fresh leads and new forensic technology.

With regular visibility, a suspect may also confess to the crime.

A Cold Case remains open until it is solved. The information you provide could be the missing link that solves the case.
