Come celebrate Illusive Comics & Games’ 10th Anniversary, which also happens to be Wonder Woman Day. Wear your finest Wonder Woman Cosplay (come as Diana or anyone else from the story) and participate in: Free Wonder Woman comics and giveaways, costume prizes, a big clearance sale, a special store sale, face painting, button/magnet making, tabletop gaming, legal geeks podcast at 1 p.m., drink and draw from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., and cake. Santa Clara Chorale: Encore Performance

Business Public Speaking: Improv by ComedySportz San Jose

Business professionals who take improv classes get ahead in their career. Improv is a theater technique where actors use improvisation to act out a scene. This skill teaches communication, listening and acceptance towards change. In a Forbes article, Why Improv Training is Great Business Training, they cite that “Improv’s low-stakes training increases the likelihood that team members will feel comfortable communicating in a variety of work situations.” ComedySportz San Jose will train attendees to: build presentation skills, improve agility and forward thinking, improve public speaking skills and improve the ability to adapt to changing situations. Sean’s K-9s is having their biggest fundraising event of the year, the 3rd Annual Fundraiser Luau, on Saturday, August 12, 2017. The Luau will be held at the Santa Clara Elks Lodge, where guests will enjoy an afternoon in the warm summer sun, and a night under the stars.
