Peninsula Beauty Opens at Santa Clara Town Centre

Peninsula Beauty recently opened its 13th location, at Santa Clara Town Centre.

A ribbon cutting, giveaways, drawings for gift baskets and food were all part of the Nov. 21 grand opening festivities.

Mayor Jamie Matthews, Council member Debi Davis, Convention Visitor’s Bureau CEO Steve Van Dorn and Peninsula Beauty management, including Chief Beauty Officer Lori Silverstein were among those in attendance.

Designed by architect Chris Sullivan, the 2,000 square foot store features thousands of beauty products, gift items, and a salon.

Silverstein has been growing the retail chain, started by her father in San Mateo in 1959, for several years. Shortly before graduating from college in 1975, she opened the company’s second store with her father Hal, and she hasn’t stopped since – in addition to 13 retail locations, Peninsula Beauty has a thriving online business and recently partnered with Google Express for same-day delivery service.

Peninsula Beauty is located between Footwear Etc. and Peet’s Coffee (slated to open in Feb. 2015) at Santa Clara Town Centre, 2082 El Camino Real, at the corner of El Camino and Scott Boulevard. Call (408) 244-1454 or visit www.peninsulabeauty.com for more information.
