Offering traditional water boiled and stone baked bagels, Main Street Bagels – founded by a first-generation immigrant – recently opened its fifth location in Santa Clara.
A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting attended by Mayor Jamie Matthews and several Santa Clara Chamber ambassadors was held on Oct. 23.
Offering over 30 bagel varieties and several spread options, the store also offers an assortment of breakfast bagels, bagel sandwiches, hot and cold beverages and organic and Fair Trade Certified coffees by Panache of Portland.
The New York style bagels are “soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside,” which is attributed to the water boil and stone baking technique that that the family-run business learned in New York.
