Long-time Santa Clara community activist Josephine Rowen died peacefully in her sleep on February 5, 2011 following a long illness. She was 85. Those wishing to pay their respects are invited to do so between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Drawing Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home, 300 Curtner Ave. in San Jose. A memorial service is planned for later this month.
