Local Sunnyvale Students Compete at National Robotics Championship

Baybots (Team #65125), a robotics team from Sunnyvale, has been crowned Champion’s First Place winner at the FIRST LEGO League Peninsula District Championship, held at Palo Alto High School. Their outstanding performance earned them an invitation to the FIRST World Festival in Houston, TX, where they will compete against top teams from around the globe.

Hosted by Playing at Learning, the Peninsula District Championship brought together the region’s top young innovators to showcase their STEM skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Baybots excelled in all areas of the competition, demonstrating mastery in robot design, coding, innovation, and teamwork.

“Baybots’ hard work, creativity, and collaboration truly set them apart in this year’s competition,” said Jill Wilker, CEO of Playing at Learning. “We are thrilled to see them represent Northern California at the FIRST World Festival in Houston. Their dedication to STEM and innovation is inspiring.”
