In response to “Up in Smoke” and today’s letter to the editor (June 5), one major issue that has not been addressed is vaping and smoking e-cigarette products, which have been proven to be harmful. Despite zero-tolerance policies, Santa Clara County school districts should educate students about the highly addictive and harmful consequences of e-cigarette use. The vaping industry specifically targets their advertisements towards young adults.
