Santa Clara Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, has donated thousands of homemade masks over the past few weeks to help slow the spread of COVID-19. As of 20 April, NSDAR members across the country have made and donated 150,000 masks. Santa Clara Chapter member Mary Kay Davis honors her grandmother, a nurse during the 1918 flu epidemic. Mrs. Davis sewed and donated 50 mass to the Bill Wilson Center, as well as elsewhere in our community. Santa Clara Chapter members have sewn and donated over 1300 masks to healthcare workers, military personnel, hospice and nursing home staff, grocery workers, postal workers and others in our community.
