I was shocked to recently discover that billionaires are investing millions of dollars into building themselves luxury underground bomb shelters, in case there is some sort of catastrophe, whether war or global climate change. I saw no plans for the millions of middle class residents in my community, much less the poor or homeless.
I am soon to be a voter next year, when I turn eighteen. Even though the 2020 election will have passed, I am telling my friends and family to vote for a candidate that best represents my interests: a clean environment, diplomacy over bullying, education, and a compassionate world that considers everyone who lives in it. That wouldn’t be any of the billionaire candidates.
