Measure M
Measure M gives the green light for the city council to approve marijuana shops in our Santa Clara neighborhoods and marijuana cultivation in our city. It says that police/firefighters will be cut, 911 response slowed, if not passed. Do not be deceived by this scare tactic.
The tax dollars generated from Measure M will be minimal. This tax money will end up being used to deal with the health and safety problems, and city oversight responsibilities this measure will create.
Who stands to gain from Measure M? It is the marijuana industry that will cash in, not our city. And, it will be at the expense of the health and safety of our community. The youth of Santa Clara will be targeted for profit.
