I’d like to note for Vickie Larson Fairchild (Sept. 24th) that endorsements by Santa Clara Plays Fair are already real endorsements. That we do not engage in the horse-trading of endorsements common among entrenched politicians doesn’t make ours any less valid.
Santa Clara Plays Fair favors a Santa Clara Unified Board of Trustees which remains independent of special interests and free of the influence of Santa Clara’s city politics. We support Santa Clara City Councilmembers not beholden to money from developers or from the San Francisco 49ers.
The candidates we have endorsed – and whom we strongly support – have accepted not a penny from either.
Instead of relying on third-party, self-interested whisper campaigns: Why not come to us first? Santa Clara Plays Fair has made it quite clear what we stand for.
