While excitement and hope seemed to radiate from employees, administrators and parents immediately after the election of two new board members to the board of the Santa Clara Unified School District, it was clear at the following board meeting that there was still one major thing that needs to occur for SCUSD to continue on an upward trajectory — Chris Stampolis must resign. The awarding of a restraining order to Principal Susan Harris of Peterson Middle School and the petition of Superintendent Stan Rose for his own restraining order, also against Stampolis, are just the most recent headlining events caused by his destructive actions. Stampolis has lost the trust of the community, staff and students. The responsible thing to do would be to resign. Please, Mr. Stampolis, step down so the community can move forward.
