I recently read with horror Carolyn Schuk’s education article in the June 4th Santa Clara Weekly. Citizens who live within the boundaries of the Santa Clara Unified School District, are you paying attention? School Board members Ina Bendis and Christopher Stampolis need to be recalled or voted out of office. The School District administrative staff needs to be able to do their job without the incessant and needless micromanaging of these people. I never witnessed such behavior during 35 years working in this District. SCUSD teachers recently voted “no confidence” in this School Board. In 1992 I helped lead a successful recall and reelection of certain members of the School Board. We should consider doing it again!
