Although the Mariani’s Development plan has been “suspended” as the application is currently not moving forward, please note the project has NOT BEEN CANCELLED. I’m fairly certain that the residents of Santa Clara are smart enough to realize that this is both a political ploy and delay tactic. First to satiate developers with the knowledge that their investments made to candidates have been well spent and won’t be lost; and second, to calm the fears of those residents and businesses immediately impacted by construction by taking a little time to review details. There is far too much money involved for certain parties to simply walk away.
After the November 4th elections, I am quite sure the project will again be put on track; which track depends upon the election results.
Vote Bress for Mayor; Hardy Seat #2 & Park Seat #5 for City Council to choose the right path.
