Santa Clara is clearly afflicted with sign pollution! Early in August it started and now we are inundated with them as though it was caused by a nasty virulent disease that replicated itself in an exponential rate.
I’m referring to political signs that by law must be removed a few days after Election Day. What should be done is to amend that law to prevent them from even appearing before a certain date – perhaps 30 days prior to Election Day? How about two weeks before?
We probably can’t do anything about national elections but surely we can control the signs of candidates for City office and they are absolutely the worst offenders. Petition the council if you too are fed up.
