My wife and I (age 60/62) have been buying individual health plans at Kaiser for five years. We are happy with our doctors and Kaiser health-services. We ignored the PPACA political battle, naively thinking that since we had our own affordable insurance that we would not be affected. President Obama was quite reassuring with respect to keeping existing plans and affordability for all.
Come to find out that on Jan. 1, 2014, Kaiser can no longer sell us our “ACA-non-compliant” plan.
Kaiser wants to enroll us in the Bronze, with an increase in the rate of 129%!
