Letter From Nancy Woodward

I am distressed to read that yet another large apartment complex is being considered in our community.  I live in a residential single family dwelling on Warburton, which used to be a neighborhood with “breathing room.”

Our street now looks like a parking lot from nearby apartments, many housing multiple family members and cars.  El Camino is packed with cars and often dangerous to cross due to congestion. This thirst for money is killing our once lovely city. Where is the infrastructure to support this, especially if El Camino restricts one lane for bus travel?  850 apartments could mean 1700 – 2500 additional cars on our overcrowded streets.  Please give us homeowners who have lived and invested in SC a voice!
