I agree with Judy Tucker’s comments (Weekly Oct. 3) regarding Council Seat 7 candidate John Mlnarik’s ethics during the 9/18 Candidates Forum. To the two “red flags” Judy’s letter described, a red flag #3 should be added. Mr. Mlnarik apparently felt his wife’s employment with a stadium development partner would create no legal conflict of interest should he attain City office. Mr. Mlnarik chose not to take the higher ethical ground by a forthright disclosure of this obvious publically perceived potential conflict of interest. Mr. Mlnarik’s obscured sense of transparency is not a quality we need on our City Council.
