It’s clear that the proponents of the stadium on the Santa Clara City.

Council has abandoned their common sense i.e., voting $4 million tax dollars and borrowing $6million on an empty pocket budget to start preliminary construction. Perhaps they should reread the City’s Code of Ethics and Values, Sections 1 and 4 pertaining to fiscal responsibility. Yes, the voters approved building the 49er’s Stadium but this doesn’t give the city leaders license to give the store away.

If the funding should fail and the taxpayers are forced to pay the piper, will we see a class action lawsuit against those responsible members (and former members)? Prediction: a statute will soon be passed exempting those whose “actions” were made in performance of their duties.
