Letter From Alan Eft

In response to Howard Myers’ letter 8/31/11, I must say that he didn’t say anything new. Informed voters knew all about what he mentioned before the June 2010 vote took place. Which means if the vote wouldn’t pass now (as he claims), then in 2010 the voters weren’t informed (or they didn’t care) when they voted. They may have had their choice made from whom ever spent the most money promoting it.

But, now the City Council doesn’t have a choice. They have to pursue this because that is what 58% of the voters wanted. The only way, that I understand, that it won’t happen is parking can’t be secured or funding can not be gathered and a contract will not be signed.

I may be wrong, but this Stadium effort is going to continue – because that is what the voters wanted.
