Again the City Council is doing all it can to pamper the 49ers. Recent considerations to move the soccer field to the Ulistac Natural Area is an example of how things can go terribly wrong. The 49ers promised they could get sufficient parking. The Council believed and supported them, even though a number of disbelieving residents called for more proof that they could. The EIR made no mention of moving the soccer field. Council members promised the soccer field would not be affected. Now the 49ers admit they can’t produce what they promised, so the City thinks they must provide space for their parking lot. Leave the soccer field alone. Make the 49ers (not the City) produce the parking like they said they could.
