I know these unpopular comments will anger some, but I feel compelled to present them. The country’s immigration laws control legal entry of people from other countries – countries with lines of people trying to get to the U.S. legally. There are others that can’t wait for approval, and cross our borders illegally. I understand their hope for a better life. However, a person that breaks the law should expect consequences — I’ve been told that all my life. Unfortunately some consequences are heart breaking, but they result from breaking the law. However, the thing that concerns me the most is that our government gives money and other resources to people that have come to the U.S. illegally. This encourages others to also come illegally. A consequence of illegal entry should be that the offender not be given anything. Don’t reward illegal behavior.
