I wanted to share my story. I am writing about the lack of help in securing safe long term housing in San Jose, Ca As of June 30th, we are a lower middle class family of four who are about to be homeless at the end of June 2023 all because we have low credit scores because of debt often related to having to move 5x’s since 2016 and cost of living. I have reached out to theSanta Clara Homeless Prevention Program and all I got from them is a list of possible help. I have called and emailed several and have been pushed off to others, sent in circles. When I do Google searches, I still get sent around in circles The state, Counties and even cities talk about homeless prevention, yet here I sit a hardworking, highly educated teacher about to be homeless.
