It is with sadness that I mark the passing of former City Council Member Jim Ash
Ash was a voice of normalcy and a great teacher who taught many a grade school student. He had wisdom, grace, and a keen smartness much like his idol, Judge Judy. Ash spoke with a focus on fiscal frugality and was spared the taint of the stadium curse. He truly was a person who touched many lives with his wit and charm. Ash was also refreshingly off the grid and could speak with the knowledge of people not websites. Jun Ash was a truly a citizen, a teacher, a veteran. A mentor, a loving husband and father, and a good friend.
