  • VTA Wants Your Input: Virtual Town-Hall Webinar. 1 p.m. Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is seeking public input on ways to improve its governance structure and practices to help better serve the community. Register to receive YouTube Live link access. Complete an online survey by Dec. 6.
  • Sunnyvale Community Services’ Annual Holiday Auction: The Elks Lodge — 375 Pastoria Ave., Sunnyvale. 5 – 7:30 p.m.  Admission is free, but SCS suggests bringing a $25 gift card, which will be distributed to families in need during the annual SCS Holiday Center in early December. The Holiday Center is expected to serve 1,200 low-income Sunnyvale families this year. www.svcommunityservices.org.

  • Winter Ice Rink: Downtown Sunnyvale. A special opening ceremony will be held on Friday, Nov. 22 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This event will include entertainment and skating performances before the rink officially opens for the season. Adult skate will be $10 and kids are free on opening night. The rink will be open from Nov. 22 – Jan. 20.

RA holds weekly meetings to better understand how to confront discrimination on anything based upon outward appearance including race, gender, LGBTQ and disability among others. RA is a 12-Step program patterned after AA.
