The Santa Clara Library kicked off its first summer concert on June 9 with a performance by Alphabet Rockers, a Bay Area group creating “fresh musical experiences that bring the family together through elements of hip hop.” The Alphabet Rockers had children on their feet and engaged throughout their set.
The first concert also gave Keypoint Credit Union the opportunity to give the Santa Clara Library a check for $15,000. Keypoint’s donation allows the library to provide prizes and entertainment throughout the duration of its Summer Reading Program.
The next family-centered summer concert will be Monday, June 16 with Karen Quest Cowgirl Tricks. Shows are from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Central Park Pavilion, 909 Kiely Blvd. in Santa Clara. Shows are free.
