It’s that time of year again!
Friends and families have the perfect place to get together for their summer barbeques – Central Park – as the annual Concerts in the Park series kicks off June 20 with the blues music of Legally Blue.
One week later, another blues band, Tom Rigney and Flambeau take the Central Park Pavilion stage. In addition to blues, Tom Rigney and Flambeau play Cajun and rock music.
The first Sunday afternoon show is on July 8 when Fog City Stompers brings their New Orleans jazz sound to Santa Clara.
In a return to the Concerts in the Park series, Mission College Symphony plays on July 15. Also returning are the upbeat Sparkletons with their rock-n-roll music on July 22, the classic rock sounds of Cool Under Pressure on July 29, the bluegrass music of Sidesaddle & Co. on August 5, and the Boy Scout band, The 357’s, play classic and pop rock on August 12.
The series, which is sponsored by Santa Clara’s Cultural Advisory Commission, ends on August 19 with classic and 80’s rock band, Daze on the Green.
All Wednesday evening shows (June 20 and 27) are from 6:30-8 p.m., while the remaining concerts are from 2:30-4 p.m. All concerts are free and music fans of all ages are welcome to attend.
