Friday September 9th, hundreds of golfers, volunteers and vendors gathered at Coyote Creek Golf Links for the 9th annual Citti’s Florists golf tournament.
Chairman, Gary Citti indicated this was the most successful event to date. “We are thrilled that so many friends and family members stepped up during these tough times to guarantee the success of this community event. It really shows how giving our Valley is when it comes to charity,” said Citti.
Over the past five years, the tournament has invested over $160,000 in scholarships for college bound students in need.
According to Past Rotary President Bill Carver, “The success of the Citti Family Golf Tournament is a tribute to the Citti family and the tremendous support they receive by doing so much for our community for so many years”.
The annual tournament was sold out weeks in advance and there were even groups on the waiting list. A number of players related that they had played in dozens of charity golf tournaments and this one is the most fun of any tournament they play in.
