2023 Sunset Cinema Lineup Released

Santa Clara has released the lineup for this year's series of movies in the park. Five different parks will host outdoor movies nights.

The City of Santa Clara has announced the 2023 Sunset Cinema lineup. The outdoor free movie series returns to a variety of neighborhood parks starting this month through October. Five different parks throughout the City are included in this spring/summer’s lineup. Spend your Friday nights watching movies on the big screen in a park setting with friends and family.

Movies all begin at sunset (approximately 8 p.m.). Parking is limited so carpool or find alternative transportation if you can. Contact the Community Recreation Center at (408) 615-3140 or email PRCustomerServe@SantaClaraCA.gov with any questions.

April 14 – Light Year (Rated PG)
At Central Park, 909 Kiely Blvd.

Legendary space ranger Buzz Lightyear embarks on an intergalactic adventure alongside ambitious recruits Izzy, Mo, Darby, and his robot companion, Sox. As this motley crew tackles their toughest mission yet, they must learn to work together as a team to escape the evil Zurg and his dutiful robot army that are never far behind.

May 12 – Moana (Rated PG)
At Live Oak Park, 641 Moreland Way

Moana is about an adventurous teenager who, with help from demigod Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson) sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and save her people.

July 28 – The Croods: A New Age (Rated PG)
At Warburton Park, 2250 Royal Dr.

While searching for a new home, the Croods discover a walled-in paradise inhabited by the inventive Betterman family. Then it all goes bananas.

Aug. 11 – Minions: The Rise of Gru (Rated PG)
At Henry Schmidt Park, 555 Los Padres Blvd.

Find out how supervillain Gru rose up from the ranks. Rejected by his supervillain idols, 12-year-old Gru sets out to prove his despicable nature with the help of his bumbling team of Minions.

Oct. 6 – Remember the Titans (Rated PG)
At Reed & Grant Sports Park, 750 Reed St.

The true story of a newly appointed African-American coach and his high school team on their first season as a racially integrated unit.
