Interviews occur in the Council Chambers during the regularly scheduled meeting.
The seven-member Planning Commission advises the City Council on matters regarding the physical development of Santa Clara, and makes recommendations with respect to land subdivisions, zoning as prescribed by ordinance, and more. The Commission generally meets one Wednesday per month at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers.
The City is also seeking residents who may be interested in serving on any of the City’s boards or commissions, or on City committees, sometime in the future. Your name will be placed on a mailing list, and you will be notified when vacancies occur.
Board, commissions, and committees include: Board of Library Trustees, Civil Service Commission, Cultural Advisory Commission, Historical & Landmarks Commission, International Exchange Commission, Parks & Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, Senior Advisory Commission, Youth Commission, and the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Committee. Other committees, including the Americans with Disabilities Act Committee and Bicycle Advisory Committee, would also like to create a list of community members interested in serving.
