On July 26, someone came into Sunnyvale DPS Headquarters to report finding a hidden video camera in the bathroom inside Sharma’s dental office. DPS investigated the discovery and says that there were several people captured on the camera found in the dental office’s restroom. At least two of the people on the hidden camera were juveniles.

Investigators say that Sharma was booked into Santa Clara County jail on “various charges, including possession of child pornography and peeping.” The California Dental Board was notified following the arrest.

According to the business profile on Yelp, Sharma’s business was established in 2022. His Yelp profile says he practiced in Amman, Jordan before opening his business in the U.S. He graduated from the University of the Pacific, Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco and has a master’s degree in Public Health from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a focus on Behavior Psychology.

Sunnyvale DPS is looking for anyone that might have information about Sharma or this incident. If you know something, please contact Detective Hutchinson at (408) 730-7110.
