Smart Utility Systems Opens

On July 14, Smart Utility Systems (SUS), an award-winning provider of SaaS technology solutions for utilities, announced two milestones in its commitment to solving today’s most critical water and energy conservation challenges, with the inauguration of its Water & Energy Innovation Center in Santa Clara and the launch of its new Smart H2O App.

Founded in 2009, Smart Utility Systems creates software solutions to help utilities and water districts increase water and energy conservation efforts, enable better resource management and make operations more efficient. Their solutions leverage mobile, data analytics and SaaS technologies for usage monitoring, leak detection, customer engagement, workforce management and more. In order to continue delivering superior solutions, SUS must continuously innovate to address the shifting environmental, business and policy issues faced by utilities and water districts. The new Water & Energy Innovation Center in Santa Clara will provide a hub in Silicon Valley, putting the company at the forefront of the evolving technology landscape. The new center will be dedicated to the advancement of SUS technologies through a rigorous research practice as well as product advancement and development.

With the new Smart Utility Systems Smart H2O App, consumers can partner with utilities in water conservation advocacy by reporting water waste such as unrepaired leaks, defective irrigation systems and water run-off in the street, to their local water agency with a single click. Additional Smart H2O app features include: information on the latest government-mandated water use restrictions; access to water conservation incentives and rebates; and mobile access to information about consumers’ own water use.
