The 10th annual ECO FAIR is set for Thursday, April 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Mission College. This popular event, which also celebrates Earth Day, is an opportunity to elevate environmental awareness for students, faculty, alumnus, as well as members of the local community.
Held adjacent to Mission College’s new Student Engagement Center, the ECO FAIR will include exhibitors from various eco-minded companies and organizations such as the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, Farm Fresh To You, Master Composter, Our City Forest, Silicon Valley Power, the Watershed Watch Campaign amongst others. Also participating in the ECO FAIR will be faculty and students from Mission College’s biological science classes.
Sponsored by the college’s Sustainability Committee, AANAPISI program, and the WVMCCD’s Chancellors Office, the ECO FAIR includes other activities like the 2018 Student Environmental Display competition as well as an art contest. Additionally, the event will serve as a venue to showcase the latest in electric clean air vehicles.
“We are extremely proud to host our 10th annual ECO FAIR,” said Mission College Faculty Member and Event Chair Theresa Tran. “This collaborative educational event is designed to elevate awareness on an environmental level, with plenty of best practices being shared throughout the day that will help one live a more sustainable/eco-friendly life.”
