On Friday night Santa Clarans came together to boogie and get-down at the annual summer Street Dance — sponsored by the Santa Clara Cultural Commission.
Held in the Franklin Mall Square, The Hitmen — a popular local band — filled the square with tunes, face painters helped doll dancers to bust a move and City celebrities made appearances.
Additionally, the Santa Clara Bookmobile was at the event to share the joy of reading with those taking a break from dancing.
The ArtIsMobilUs AnyBodyCanPaint Wall was a huge hit. The activity drew artists to it as it became a beautiful art piece as the night went on.
