Bowers Elementary School, Cabrillo Middle School and Cabrillo Montessori School of Silicon Valley are now open again after a suspicious device was located in Bowers Park in Santa Clara.
“The device has been rendered safe. The schools and roadways are being opened back up,” said Santa Clara Police Captain Wahid Kazem.
Earlier today, the suspicious device was found and the Santa Clara County Bomb Squad was on the scene. Bowers Elementary School, Cabrillo Middle School and Cabrillo Montessori School of Silicon Valley were on shelter in place for precautionary measures.
During the ordeal, the public was asked to avoid the area while police teams investigated the situation and created a safe environment for the neighboring community.
