The Police Blotter highlights a partial list of incidents in the city and is distributed on a weekly basis. The Blotter provides the date, time, approximate location, a narrative summary of the incident, case number and the most serious arrest charge.
Meanwhile, the Arrest Log provides a timely, chronological summary of all the arrests made by the Santa Clara Police Department. It includes the name of the suspect(s), date of birth, city in which they reside, arrest date, time, location, case number as well as all the charge(s) associated with the arrest. This information, located on the Santa Clara Police Department’s home page (www.scpd.org), is updated daily and serves as the most comprehensive list of arrests made.

Warrant Arrest
Location: Rodonovan Drive and Stevens Creek Boulevard
An officer consensually contacted a male subject sitting in a parking lot on Rodonovan Drive, near Stevens Creek Boulevard. A Records check revealed the subject has a misdemeanor warrant. He was issued a Notice to Appear and released from the scene.

Prowler
Location: 2600 Block of Taft Court
Between 0118 hours and 0201 hours, a subject was prowling on the victim’s property. The victim discovered the prowler on video surveillance later in the day. Nothing was missing from the residence and there are no further details at this time.

Residential Burglary
Location: 4900 Block of Avenida De Los Arboles
At approximately 0414hours, an officer responded to the 4900 block of Avenida De Los Arboles on the report of a burglary.
An unknown subject(s) entered the garage of the residence by prying open the side door to the garage. An audible alarm at the residence activated and the subject(s) fled the scene. No items were stolen from the residence. The subject(s) remain at large.

Tampering
Location: 400 Block of Monroe Street
An astute resident contacted Public Safety Dispatchers after observing three male subjects trying to open door handles on parked vehicles on the 400 block of Monroe Street.
Arriving officers identified subject matching the reporting party’s description walking on southbound Monroe Street. All three subjects were determined to be juveniles. A Records check revealed subject #1 was on probation. One of the juveniles was also found to be in possession of burglary tools.
The juveniles were issued Juvenile Crime Reports and released to their parents on their promise to appear.

Burglary Attempt
Location: 2100 Block of Laurelwood Avenue
At approximately 0219 hours, two subjects were seen on the roof of a business on the 2100 block of Laurelwood Avenue.
The subjects fled the scene prior to police arrival. There was no sign of entry into the building. The night prior, a similar attempt was made (Case #20-0519121).

Drug Possession
Location: 2500 Block of El Camino Real
An officer was flagged down by a female subject while driving on the 2500 block of El Camino Real.
The reporting party told the officer there was suspicious activity in one of the hotel rooms, and suspected prostitution.
Through investigation, officers learned the primary room renter was on probation. Upon contact, the room was occupied by two male subjects. A search of the room yielded a shaved key and multiple controlled substances. The subjects were arrested.

Public Safety Dispatchers received a call regarding a prior theft on the 800 block of Market Street.
A subject(s) unlawfully entered a victim’s garage and stole a second victim’s surfboard valued at approximately $800. The subject(s) is at large.
