Meanwhile, the Arrest Log provides a timely, chronological summary of all the arrests made by the Santa Clara Police Department. It includes the name of the suspect(s), date of birth, city in which they reside, arrest date, time, location, case number as well as all the charge(s) associated with the arrest. This information, located on the Santa Clara Police Department’s home page (www.scpd.org), is updated daily and serves as the most comprehensive list of arrests made.

Warrant Arrest
Location: El Camino Real and Los Padres Boulevard
An officer observed a vehicle traveling on El Camino Real with a brake light that was not in working order. The vehicle made a sudden right turn onto Los Padres Boulevard and two female subjects exited the vehicle. The officer pulled into the parking lot and conducted a license plate check on the vehicle. The registered owner had five outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
The officer contacted the subjects after they exited the business. The driver was identified as the registered owner and did not have a driver’s license. She was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
An officer stayed with the vehicle until a friend of the arrestee’s arrived to pick it up.

Resisting Arrest
Location: El Camino Real and Scott Boulevard
An officer observed a male subject crossing El Camino Real between McCormick Drive and Scott Boulevard. The subject was not using a crosswalk across six lanes of traffic. The officer completed a U-turn in order to proceed with a pedestrian enforcement stop. Meanwhile, the officer observed the subject throw a bag into the bushes.
The officer contacted the subject to discuss the violations. The officer asked the subject to take a seat on the bus bench and the subject complied. While the officer was conducting a Records check, the subject stood up, jumped over the bus bench and started running through the parking lot. The officer caught up with the subject on Hillebrandt Place. The subject complied with the officer’s verbal commands.
The subject was determined to be on parole for carjacking. He was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail without further incident.
The bag was later located in the bushes and contained three cold beers.

Weapons
Location: 2100 Block of Scott Boulevard
Public Safety Dispatchers received a call regarding a male subject on the 2100 block of Scott Boulevard causing a disturbance.
The responding officer located a subject matching the reporting party’s description. The subject agreed to a consensual search which revealed used hypodermic needles and an 11’ straight blade knife in his pockets. The subject made a spontaneous statement that he carried the knife for protection. He was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Warrant Arrest
Location: El Camino Real and Halford Avenue
A citizen flagged down an officer patrolling near El Camino Real and Halford Avenue. The reporting party was determined to be an employee of a nearby business, advised the officer of an incident of shoplifting and pointed to a subject in the parking lot.
The officer contacted the male subject holding two comforters in his hands. A Records check revealed the subject had a $60,000 felony warrant.
Due to Santa Clara County’s current COVID-19 protocol, the subject’s non-violent nature and medical issues, he was issued a citation and Notice to Appear.

Public Safety Dispatchers received a call for service on the 400 block of California Street for a theft.
An unknown subject(s) removed a catalytic converter from the victim’s car. The damage was estimated at $2,500. The subject(s) are unknown and outstanding.

Grand Theft
Location: 3100 Block of Mission College Boulevard
A victim sat down at an outdoor table on the 3100 block of Mission College Boulevard and placed a backpack on the ground next to the chair. Without warning, a male subject grabbed the victim’s backpack, ran toward an awaiting vehicle and fled the scene.
The backpack contacted a MacBook Pro, Air Pods, credit cards and cash valued at $1,650. The subject has not been identified or apprehended.

Warrant Arrest
Location: 2000 Block of Calle de Luna
An officer was patrolling on Calle de Luna when an occupied vehicle was observed parked on the curb line. The officer conducted a license plate check and determined the vehicle’s registered owner has a no-bail warrant for his arrest.
The officer contacted the subject, confirmed his identity and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Disturbance
Location: 2100 Block of Brown Avenue
Public Safety Dispatchers received a call to report an unknown disturbance. The call details included that a female could be heard screaming.
Arriving officers heard continuous, frantic screaming. Out of concern for the victim’s life, officers organized a crisis entry into the residence to perform a rescue operation. On entry, officers located a male subject and gave him verbal commands. He did not comply, turned around the corner and dragged the screaming victim up the stairs by her arm. An officer tackled the subject on the staircase and placed him in handcuffs. Meanwhile, another officer removed the victim from the home to safety.
Through investigation, it was determined the subject suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and committed an act of domestic battery on the victim. The subject was detained on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to a local hospital. The victim was treated for her injuries.
