The Police Blotter highlights a partial list of incidents in the city and is distributed on a weekly basis. The Blotter provides the date, time, approximate location, a narrative summary of the incident, case number and the most serious arrest charge.
Meanwhile, the Arrest Log provides a timely, chronological summary of all the arrests made by the Santa Clara Police Department. It includes the name of the suspect(s), date of birth, city in which they reside, arrest date, time, location, case number as well as all of the charge(s) associated with the arrest. This information, located on the Santa Clara Police Department’s home page (www.scpd.org), is updated daily and serves as the most comprehensive list of arrests made.

Warrant Arrest
Location: Stevens Creek Boulevard and Kiely Boulevard
An officer observed an issue with a vehicle’s rear license plate and initiated a traffic enforcement stop near Stevens Creek Boulevard and Kiely Boulevard.
The vehicle was occupied by two male subjects. A Records check revealed the driver had a suspended driver’s license and the passenger had a misdemeanor warrant. Both subjects were arrested.

Petty Theft
Location: 500 Block of El Camino Real
A juvenile was riding a bicycle through the Santa Clara University campus, located on the 500 block of El Camino Real. The bicycle slipped on some gravel causing the victim to fall. In doing so, the victim suffered minor scrapes and abrasions on the leg.
A nearby male subject witnessed the fall and offered to help by getting some water and bandages. Instead, the subject picked up the victim’s bicycle and rode away. The subject is unknown and at large.

Location: 300 Block of Lester Court
Public Safety Dispatchers were contacted regarding a previous burglary. Unknown suspect(s) punched through a garage side-door to gain access. The suspect(s) located a set of keys, entered the residence and stole multiple items before fleeing the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The suspect(s) are unknown and at large.

Theft from a Vehicle
Location: 601 El Camino Real
A victim of a theft from a vehicle came into the Police Building to report the incident in-person.
At approximately 0745 hours on 7/24/19, the victim entered the vehicle and noticed it had been rummaged through. A wallet, Air Pods and cash were stolen. The suspect(s) are unknown and at large.

Petty Theft
Location: 3900 Block of Rivermark Plaza
A female subject entered a business on the 3900 block of Rivermark Plaza. A Loss Prevention Officer observed the subject exit the store without paying for numerous cans of baby formula, valued at $199.92.
The Loss Prevention Officer detained the subject and contacted Public Safety Dispatchers for police assistance. The subject was arrested.

An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of The Alameda on the report of an intoxicated male subject.
Upon arrival, an officer found the subject unresponsive with a strong odor of alcohol. The Fire Department was requested. After evaluation, the subject was transported to a local hospital.

Stolen Vehicle
Location: 2800 Block of Barcells Avenue
On 7/26/19 at approximately 1300 hours, a victim parked a vehicle on the 2800 block of Barcells Avenue. Upon return on 7/27/19 at 0715 hours, the vehicle was determined to be stolen and Public Safety Dispatchers were contacted.
The victim vehicle is a 1999 white GMC 2500 Sierra with a tool compartment. The suspect(s) are unknown and at large.
