Meanwhile, the Arrest Log provides a timely, chronological summary of all the arrests made by the Santa Clara Police Department. It includes the name of the suspect(s), date of birth, city in which they reside, arrest date, time, location, case number as well as all the charge(s) associated with the arrest.
This information, located on the Santa Clara Police Department’s home page (www.scpd.org), is updated daily and serves as the most comprehensive list of arrests made.

Drug Possession
Location: 3900 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
An officer observed a male subject walking in the number two lane of traffic on the 3900 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. The subject also matched the description of an outstanding arson subject. The officer initiated a pedestrian enforcement stop.
A Records check revealed the subject was on probation with search terms. A probation search yielded drug paraphernalia. He was issued a citation and a field investigation card was completed prior to his release.

Commercial Burglary
Location: 800 Block of Comstock Street
Public Safety Dispatchers received a call for service regarding a prior burglary on the 800 block of Comstock Street.
On arrival, the officer met with a manager of the business that had been victimized. An unknown subject(s) damaged a gate to enter a business and stole multiple tools, a safe and set of keys. The subject(s) have not been identified.

Petty Theft
Location: 3000 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
An officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard on the report of a petty theft.
Loss Prevention Specialists had detained two male subjects after they had concealed several items of clothing and exited the store into the mall without paying for the merchandise. The items were valued at $514.99. The subjects were both issued citations and released at the scene.

Warrant Arrest
Location: 1700 Block of Branham Lane, San Jose
The Santa Clara Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) initiated locating a known felon in our city.
SET detectives followed the male subject to the 1700 block of Branham Lane in San Jose. Detectives blocked the subject’s vehicle and ordered him to surrender. The subject barricaded himself in his vehicle for almost two hours, delaying officer’s ability arrest him for his violent felonious warrant. The subject finally surrendered, was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
SET primarily operates in a plain clothes/unmarked vehicle capacity, with responsibilities to assist other detectives with their case load, locate persons with warrants, probation, Post Release Community Service parole searches, suspect apprehension, weapons, narcotics, gang and stolen vehicle investigations.

Arson
Location: 2200 Block of El Camino Real
Public Safety Dispatchers received a call for service regarding a vehicle on fire on the 2200 block of El Camino Real and deployed both the Police and Fire Departments.
On arrival, officers located a vehicle fully engulfed in flames and detained a male subject hurriedly walking away from the scene. A Records check revealed the subject had a prior arson arrest and he was in possession of a lighter. Nearby video surveillance captured the incident. He was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
Meanwhile, the Fire Department extinguished the flames.

Citation
Location: 4300 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
While on routine patrol, an officer conducted a registration check on a vehicle on the 4300 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. The return revealed the vehicle had expired registration from April 2017 however the vehicle displayed a 2020 registration tab. The officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop.
The officer contacted the male driver. During the contact, the subject admitted to taking the registration tab from a family member’s car and placing it on his. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.

Warrant Arrest
Location: Homestead Road and San Tomas Expressway
An officer noticed a vehicle driving without head lights on and initiated a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Homestead Road and San Tomas Expressway.
A Records check revealed the male driver had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. The subject was issued a Notice to Appear and was released from the scene.
