The Santa Clara Police Department’s Police Activities League (PAL) is donating new school supplies to Santa Clara Unified School District students for the upcoming school year.
Over 700 elementary students will have received a backpack filled with a notebook, paper, a pen, pencils, and other classroom essentials.
Beginning August 13, Santa Clara PAL delivered “stuffed” backpacks to various elementary schools throughout Santa Clara. SCUSD officials will distribute the backpacks in time for the first day of school.
Traditionally, PAL offers youth the opportunity to develop strong values through athletics. The Santa Clara PAL Board of Directors also recognizes the importance of supporting youth academically.
By donating these necessary supplies, PAL expands on its commitment to helping students and families in the community.
