City Neighborhood Watch Orientation- Thursday, April 21st, 6-7:30pm: An orientation and training session for anyone interested in forming or joining a Neighborhood Watch group will be held at Central Park Library, 2635 Homestead Road. The presentation will explain how Neighborhood Watch programs work, refresh your observation skills, and touch upon home security and personal safety issues. Neighborhood Watch is not a vigilante group. It is not dangerous and you should never risk your safety to prevent crime. Your job will be to use observation skills to keep a lookout for law enforcement, report suspicious activities and be aware of resources in the community in the event of an emergency. Register for the April 21 on Eventbrite. To schedule a Neighborhood Watch presentation in your neighborhood, contact the Santa Clara Police Department Crime Prevention Unit, 408-615-4876, email CrimePrevention@SantaClaraCA.gov or learn more online.
