Resisting/Obstructing

Location:  2000 Block of El Camino Real

Officers responded to Target on a report of a male suspect harassing a female in the parking lot. The suspect blocked the victim’s car in a parking stall and began making comments of a sexual nature.  Fearing for her safety, the victim locked herself in her car. When the suspect drove away, the victim pulled in front of the store and asked witnesses for help, as the suspect re-approached the victim in his car. The suspect then began threatening witnesses that came to the victim’s aid, telling them that he would shoot them.

The responding officer gave the suspect verbal commands. The suspect got into his car and began reaching around the interior of the car. Since the suspect threatened to shoot someone and the suspect had a large Pitbull in the car, the officer deployed a conducted electrical weapon (CEW), otherwise known as a Taser. The deployment was ineffective and the suspect managed to drive away.

Another officer located the suspect’s vehicle at his residence. Responding officers saw the suspect jump over several fences trying to get away. The suspect was eventually taken into custody on Cabrillo Avenue.

A Records check revealed a lengthy criminal history. He was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
