The Police Blotter highlights a partial list of incidents in the City and is distributed on a weekly basis. The Blotter provides the date, time, approximate location, a narrative summary of the incident, case number and the most serious arrest charge.
Meanwhile, the Arrest Log provides a timely, chronological summary of all of the arrests made by the Santa Clara Police Department. It includes the name of the suspect(s), date of birth, city in which they reside, arrest date, time, location, case number as well as all of the charge(s) associated with the arrest. This information, located on the Santa Clara Police Department’s homepage (www.scpd.org), is updated daily and serves as the most comprehensive list of arrests made.

Warrant Arrest
Location: Area of Deborah Drive and Passetta Drive
An officer performed a traffic stop. A records check revealed the driver had two arrest warrants for drug violations. The driver was arrested.

Residential Burglary
Location: 3700 Block of Sullivan Drive
At approximately 1414 hours, the victim arrived home and found the front door of his residence had been pried open. Upon entry the victim found his home had been ransacked and numerous items were taken. At that point, the victim contacted Public Safety Dispatchers. The suspect(s) are unidentified and outstanding.

Residential Burglary
Location: 3700 Block of Sullivan Drive
While investigating the first burglary on Sullivan Drive, officers located a second residence that had been burglarized. The method of entry was similar. The front door was pried open and the residence had been ransacked. The resident was out of town at the time of discovery and it was not immediately known what items had been taken. The suspect(s) are unidentified and outstanding.

Warrant Arrest, Theft
Location: 3501 Stevens Creek Boulevard, Macy’s
Officers were dispatched to Macy’s, 3051 Stevens Creek Boulevard, regarding a man with a gun in his waistband. The officers were further told the man was associated with two adult females allegedly using a fraudulent credit card to purchase items. Officers located a male and female subject outside Macy’s that matched the descriptions of the suspects. The male subject did not have a firearm on his person. He did possess drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine and stolen credit cards. The male subject was arrested. The female subjected admitted to using stolen credit cards to make several purchases. The female subject was arrested.
Security personnel directed the officers two second female subject that was associated with the man and the credit card fraud who was still inside the store. The female subject denied using a fraudulent credit card but said her friend did. She denied knowing anything about a gun. A records check revealed the female subject had an arrest warrant for theft and she was arrested.

Vandalism
Location: 815 Bing Drive, 7-11 Store
A male subject locked his keys in his vehicle. He asked the store clerk if he could use his car keys to open his vehicle. The clerk declined. The subject asked a customer to give him his car keys. The customer declined. The subject subsequently opened his car, retrieved a can of paint and poured the paint on the customer’s vehicle. The responding officers located the suspect vehicle and identified the suspect. The suspect is still outstanding.

Two unknown suspects stole a forklift that was parked in the rear of the Smart and Final store. The forklift was later located to the rear of a business on the 1800 block of Civic Center Drive. The suspects have not been identified and are outstanding.

Location: Main Street and Washington Street
Officers were aware of a subject with a felony arrest warrant for domestic violence. When the subject was seen driving away from his residence, he was stopped in the area of Main Street and Washington Street. The subject was arrested for the warrant.

Drug Arrest
Location: 2455 El Camino Real, Holiday Inn
Officers responded to the area of 2111 The Alameda regarding a subject in the roadway threatening pedestrians and vehicles with a hammer and a bat. Officers located the subject at a nearby bus stop holding a bat in one hand and a hammer in the other hand. The subject appeared agitated and walked into the roadway area. The subject did not initially comply with officer commands. He eventually dropped the weapons. The subject told the officers he was “only slightly under the influence of meth.” The subject was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Location: The Alameda near Chapman Street
Officers conducted a traffic stop enforcement stop on The Alameda near Chapman Street. A records check of the driver revealed he had arrest warrants for drug and traffic violations. A records check of the passenger revealed she had two arrest warrants for auto theft. Both subjects were arrested.
