NOTE: Disagreements develop from time to time in relationships. Domestic violence is not a disagreement. It is a whole pattern of behaviors used by one partner to establish and maintain power and control over the other. The range of behaviors can include psychological, emotional, verbal, sexual, financial, spiritual, and physical abuse, as well as stalking and threatening behaviors. These behaviors can become more frequent and intensify over time.

Domestic violence is a serious community problem which affects individuals of all races, religions, sexual orientations and socio-economic backgrounds. It impacts people of all ages, including seniors and juveniles.
