Last week young adult students from Pacific Autism Center for Education (PACE) enjoyed a Christmas pizza-making, and pizza-eating holiday get-together at Pizza Party in Santa Clara. The students, in their late teens and early twenties, are in PACE’s transitional program, where they learn to navigate the world of work, as well as independent living skills.
Volunteers from Dell and the San Jose SaberCats were on hand to help with the pizza-making and baking. “Pizza Party is one of our sponsors,” says Saber Cats PR Manager Sam Drexler. “They’re doing a great job supporting the community and we want to help them any way we can.”
