The 1st Annual Pan-Asian Spelling Bee for 1st through 8th graders attracted some 300 students and their parents to the Spring Educational Expo March 2 and 3 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The free expo, which also included a math competition and seminars for parents on how to help their children succeed in the American educational system, was co-sponsored by the Bay Area Chinese-language newspaper “World Journal,” “The Korean Daily Newspaper,” and Mahima Creations, Inc.
