Office Depot
121 E. El Camino Real Ste. 909, Sunnyvale
The Office Depot at the corner of El Camino Real and Sunnyvale Saratoga Road closed in mid-May. The location was one of 50 Office Depot and OfficeMax casualties announced by the company in early May after quarterly sales fell two percent. The closure was part of a three-year plan announced in 2016 to close approximately 300 stores.
Black Angus
740 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale
After 40 years, the Black Angus in Sunnyvale closed its doors at the end of May. A note to customers thanked those who had celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and every day at the restaurant. Nearby Black Angus restaurants in Milpitas and San Jose as well as five in the East Bay remain open.
Coffee Factory
3787 Stevens Creek Blvd., Santa Clara
Coffee Factory closed in April. Although its Yelp page says it is set to reopen Jun. 8, the Coffee Factory Facebook page has not been updated since 2016 and a website for the company has been taken down. The location is currently being operated as a Café Big Mug.

Opened in March, Sila prides itself on serving modern Korean cuisine, including its Signature Beef Rib Stew and fresh Korean Ban Chan. Yelp reviewers have mostly positive things to say and the restaurant maintains a 4.5/5 rating from its 103 reviews.

The Indian immersion preschool and afterschool program has been open since 2015, but is currently enrolling for the fall 2019 school year at its new Santa Clara location. The campus boasts 9,000 square feet. of interior space and a 12,000-square-foot. playground. Its preschool program is available to students 2-5 and kindergarten classes are for children four years nine months old to six. After schools classes are open to children 5 to 14.

Café Big Mug
3787 Stevens Creek Blvd., Santa Clara
Located at the former location of Coffee Factory off Saratoga and Stevens Creek, Café Big Mug is a sister location for Big Mug Coffee Roaster off El Camino Real. The café offers iced and hot drinks, pour overs, cold drips, blended beverages, juices and tea in addition to café items like avocado toast and Nutella hazelnut toast, as well as smoked salmon toast on weekends.

The luxury retailer will open a Santana Row location in summer 2019. Vince offers women’s and men’s clothes, shoes, handbags, and home fit for a global lifestyle. The store will be in a 2,378-square-foot space located next to the newly expanded Lululemon.

Popular boutique Brandy Melville, the women’s apparel line from Italy known for its trendy styles with a beachy, comfortable vibe will open a 3,112-square-foot space in summer of 2019.

Premier men’s apparel brand TravisMathew will open its first Northern California store this fall. The store will be complete with classic arcade style gaming consoles and ping pong tables in its 1,911-square-foot space. The Santana Row location will carry their exclusive California capsule product.

Sauced BBQ & Spirits
Santana Row, San Jose
Sauced BBQ & Spirits will be making its debut this fall, moving into the parkside location next door to the popular Maggiano’s Little Italy. Sauced is a Southern-inspired restaurant concept, founded by two cousins with a passion to bring authentic, Southern BBQ to Northern California. Besides featuring multiple Southern styles of barbecue, the restaurant touts numerous beer, wine and whiskey choices.
